Childrens Christmas Party 2007

The children’s Christmas party will be held on the 14th of December this year and promises to be lots of fun with food,
an entertainer and a special visit from Santa!
Invites will be given out nearer the time and I very much look forward to seeing everyone from Poynings, Saddlescombe and Newtimber.
Don’t forget that the pumpkin is now at the Royal Oak pub waiting to have its weight guessed.
All proceeds go the children’s party and the lucky winner will receive a bottle of Champagne.
Good Luck!
Love Su x
Mike Airey guessed the nearest to the correct weight (156.9lb).
He won a meal for 2 and a bottle of wine at the Royal Oak, helping to raise £150-00 for the Poynings Childrens' Christmas Party.
The pumpkin had lost 4lb since it was weighed in Henfield the week before it arrived in the Oak and so it must've originally weighed just over
12 stone when it was originally cut.
So well done Paul and Mike!
Last year Huge numbers of children and parents enjoyed Potty the Pirate, party tea and a visit from Father Christmas with his fairy helper.
Well done organiser Su! Many thanks to hosts the Royal Oak who gave the tea and donated a meal for two for the winner of the fund raising ‘guess
the weight of the pumpkin’ competition. Victoria guessed correctly, winning the meal and a bottle of champagne!
Well done Victoria Anderson who correctly guessed 591/2 pounds winning champaine and meal for 2 at the Pub.
Mark Lee guessed 60 pounds...
Horse dentist Carl won "guess the number of sweets in the jar" in aid of kids' xmas party, winning the sweets.
