Poynings from the Downs

HALLOWEEN 2007

Mike Airey guessed the nearest to the correct weight of the Pumpkin (156.9lb).

He won a meal for 2 and a bottle of wine at the Royal Oak, helping to raise £150 for the Poynings Childrens' Christmas Party.

The pumpkin had lost 4lb since it was weighed in Henfield the week before it arrived in the Oak and so it must've originally weighed just over 12 stone when it was originally cut. Weightwatchers look out.

Well done Paul and Mike!

Halloween 2007

Not so heavy now!

Is that a Warlock or a bad hair day?

Poynings Halloween

Well, if it isn't Dave the Devil Brown.

Poynings Halloween

What would we do with John?

Poynings Halloween

I haven't seen you in the Oak before.

Was the Oak that busy Al?

I think Sheila has taken "Going Green" to the extreme.

Even the garage has gone Pumpkin mad.

Poynings Halloween

Oh no, it's the invasion of the Pumpkin Snatchers.

HALLOWEEN 2006

A great night was had by all at the Royal Oak on Halloween, close you eyes if you are of a nervous disposition!

Mike Airey, above, won a bottle of champers for best fancy dress as he kept in character for hours with the Monty Python old lady voice!

Mikey is looking very scary tonight.

I think you need to get out in the sun more often...

You just can't get the staff nowadays....

Beware the Witching hour

Get an eyeful of this.

Birthday Girl!

Did you tread in that?
