Minutes of the meeting of Poynings Parish Council held in the Village Hall on Tuesday 15th May 2007 at 7pm

1. Minutes
The Minutes of the pervious meeting had been circulated and were signed by the Chairman as a true record.
2. Matters Arising
There were no matters arising
3. Planning applications
(a) Follymead – demolition of conservatory, part of east wing and build new extensions on south, west and east – the Parish Council will make representations.
(b) Dyke Farm House – renewal of unimplemented permission for detached 3 bay garage with games room above – the Parish Council will make representations.
(c) Park Farm – 2 bungalows and extension to existing house – refused by MSDC
(d) Devils Dyke Hotel – new boarding and entrance door – passed by MSDC
(e) Mill House – reinstate Mill – refused by MSDC
(f) Devils Dyke Hotel – 3 illuminated signs – passed by MSDC
4. Expenditure
The following amounts were authorised for the period March and April 2007.

5. Any Other Business
(a) Speed Limits
The Clerk had received notification from WSCC Highways that following the recent traffic survey in the village that we would be eligible for a 30mph speed limit through the village. The Clerk is to respond to WSCC Highways.
(b) Highway Rangers
The Clerk had received notification form WSCC Highways of a new free service called Highway Rangers. These Rangers will do tidy up jobs around the villages. The Clerk has asked that Cora’s’ Corner be weeded and that the road side between Cora’s Corner and Downmere be cleared as debris is taking over the road. If any one has any further ideas of tidy up projects, please let the Clerk know and she will ask for them to be done.
(c) Village Sign
The Village sign has been erected and has been greatly admired. It was agreed that ML should contact Margaret Cutress and ask her to officially unveil the sign. Peter Griffiths will also be invited to the unveiling.
As there was no further business the Chairman proposed that past of the meeting closed and we moved onto the AGM.
